This is a print of an original graphite drawing.
This piece is a depiction of a mother coqui and her clutch of eggs with ambient light background. The piece was originally done in graphite with no white highlights.
An un-official national symbol of PR, Coquis are named after the sound they make and can be heard chirping in mass, very loudly despite their small size (about the size of a fingernail). Native to Puerto Rico and can only be found on the small island, legend has it that if a coqui leaves the island, it will die of a broken heart.
Measurements: 10.25"x10.25" full frame, 8.25"x8.25" image edge to edge
